Basically the setup is the same as in "Me and my few friends want to enjoy team play on the LAN we just set up" but there are a few advanced tips that may be helpful:

Thanks to its full-Java architecture, Super Slime Volley Ball is intended to work identically on every platform, and you can have a completely heterogeneous network, mixing Solaris, Windows, Linux, etc.
It should just work.

The game is centralized around a server, so let's say a word about scalability. It is intended to be playable with any number of player (even unbalanced teams), but be aware that the more there are clients, the more the Slime Server is loaded. Consequently, in this case with many players, the good choice is to run the Slime Server on a dedicated machine (SlimeClient-less) with convenient CPU and network resources.
For example, avoid sticking the SlimeServer machine behind a hub,...

See also Firewall concerns since you may experience problems with firewalls.

Of course you can also have a dedicated machine that runs many Slime Servers : all you have to do to make it work is to assign a different port for each server. Please see Super Slime Volley Ball Server to know how to change the port of a Slime Server.
